The new team won the grand finals with 3-2

DreamLeague Season 12 has come to a conclusion. After two days of intense matches, we finally know who took home the trophy at DreamLeague Season 12.

Alliance is looking very strong after this weekend. The team went undefeated in their group, and then beat Ninjas in Pyjamas 2-0 in the Upper Bracket finals to head straight to the grand finals. But in the final, they did not win easily. There, they struggled in two games versus Demon Slayers, before seeming to figure the North American stack out, winning three in a row to take home US$100,000.

One of the key reasons for their success is that they never backed down. Even though they were in a rough spot, they still continued to fight and eventually, they were able to find the recipe for success.

This was the first LAN event of the new Alliance roster and their first trophy to boot. As you know, Adrian "Fata" Trinks’s newly formed team was acquired by the Swedish organization just a couple of weeks ago. That said, it definitely looks like this was the right decision because the team is absolutely on fire right now. Not only did they win DreamLeague Season 12, but they also qualified for the MDL Chengdu.

As for the Demon Slayers, the team has interesting history during the tournament. They were defeated by Team liquid, the former Alliance, 0-2, in the group stage, but in Losers' Round 2, they beat Team liquid 2-0 instead.
