Valve replaced Cache with Vertigo in the competitive map pool for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Thursday night.
Valve confirmed the change in a blog post on the Counter-Strike website.
The competitive map pool is the list of maps that are played in professional CS:GO tournaments, including the Valve-sponsored Major Tournament.
Cache has been a staple in the competitive CS:GO map pool for years. Vertigo, which has recently been upgraded and tested by Valve, will take its place. This will dramatically change how professional CS:GO scene is played.
Vertigo has been added and tournaments are going to look a bit different. There will be more Nuke played if teams don’t want to adapt to the also unconventional map of Vertigo. This also means that Vertigo will be played at the next Major hosted by Starladder in Berlin.
The update also added an EZ4ENCE Music Kit and a new Stickers Capsule. You can read the full post with all updates by Valve here.
