After Ti9, the big lineup adjustment of each Dota 2 team is still continuing. Today, Evil Geniuses has announced a huge change in the team roster. We’ve already seen Team Liquid’s legendary line-up leaving the North American organization in favor of a new project. And this time the change for Evil Geniuses is also a big one.
EG has announced that they would be benching one of the world’s best midlaners in SumaiL and were also open to transfer talks for the 20-year-old. The organization also confirmed that former OG player Gustav ‘s4’ Magnusson would be leaving the team altogether and be released into free agency and also, Abed ‘Abed’ Azel L. Yusop would take SumaiL’s roster spot while former Virtus.Pro star Roman ‘RAMZES666’ Kushnare would be replacing s4.
“First, it is prudent to discuss our departures,” EG said. “We are releasing Gustav “s4” Magnusson into free agency, and Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan will remain under contract and be open to transfer talks. Both have earned an incredible amount of respect and appreciation here at EG for their results and the effort they’ve put into the team; they are top-flight talents, and we’re confident that they will find themselves surrounded by capable teammates.”
Evil Geniuses' new Dota 2 roster will consist of:
Artour 'Arteezy' Babaev
Abed 'Abed' Azel L. Yusop
Roman 'RAMZES666' Kushnarev
Andreas 'Cr1t-' Nielsen
Tal 'Fly' Aizik
The first qualifiers for the 2019-2020 season will begin on Oct. 5. The new team clearly needs to integrate quickly to play well in the upcoming games.
