s1mple is well-known for his incredible CS:GO skills so it comes as no surprise that international teams want him on their roster, especially since he's often regarded as the best player in the world.

In an interview with Mais Esports, dead shed details on how they almost signed the Natus Vincere star to their team.

"We had not thought about s1mple at first," dead explained. "We had thought about [Nikola] ‘NiKo’ [Kovač] and [Richard] ‘shox’ [Papillon], but shox could not come because of his wife. He was still flattered by our offer.”

"Then it was NiKo and [Håvard] ‘rain’ [Nygaard], but rain did not want to come, and, without him, Niko would not come,” the Brazilian manager went on. “Then, we thought about s1mple and [Freddy] ‘KRIMZ’ [Johansson] because KRIMZ's contract with Fnatic was about to expire, but it did not work out.”

s1mple then suggested that the team bring in Russian-born Egor ‘flamie’ Vasilyev, another player for the NaVi organization, and eventually offered himself up too.

"For you to understand how close things got, flamie was at the airport when s1mple said that he was no longer coming,” dead revealed, “I understand Na'Vi’s point of view, the guy was their entire team and they did everything they could to hold on to him.”

flamie has since refuted the MiBR manager's statement about him being at the airport when the deal went south, stating that he did have a plane ticket but it was to meet up with Schroet Kommando members instead.

s1mple signed with the Ukrainian team back in August 2016, taking Danylo ‘Zeus’ Teslenko’s spot after he left to join Gambit Gaming.

It's a good thing that Na'Vi held on to s1mple since he helped them win at the StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 7, the BLAST Pro Series: Copenhagen 2018, and at ESL One: Cologne 2018.
